Diving Ko Lanta - Day 2 - the Bidas

Today we headed to the Bidas - 2 islands just south of Ko Phi Phi.  There's Bida Noi and Bida Nok.

On our first dive as soon as we descended we were greeted with swarms of thousands of fusillier fish.  It was pretty amazing.  Again we saw some beautiful creatures including many sea anemones with both clownfish and false clown anemonefish.  It's unclear to me whether Nemo is a true clownfish as the different is quite subtle.  To my eye, the only difference is that the clownfish have black outlines to their fins and the borders of their white and orange stripes while the false ones are only orange and white. I guess I'll have to study Nemo to really find out.

Again we saw so many multicolored worms, scorpionfish, and lionfish.  The coral is super beautiful here.

Both yesterday and today, we went out on this 2 tiered boat. The top tier is half covered and half uncovered and is the designated dry area where people can lounge about between dives. The lower level consists of an enclosed area where the meals are served, 2 bathrooms, and the back of the boat where the scuba gear is donned.  There's also 2 warm water showers in the back. In general, it was one of the most enjoyable boat experiences I've ever had while diving. Of course, they'd have to make it enjoyable since the rides were both 1.5hrs each way.  In fact, it was such a nice ride that my non-diving friend came along just for the ride and the scenery, and he wasn't the only one.  Our boat also served breakfast on arrival, fresh fruits between dives, and lunch after the dives on the way back. It was really a great experience.
