Started out with a soak in the hot tub at Cliff Edge Retreat before getting on the road.
A little over an hour to Chance Cove trail. This was a great little 1 hr hike with beautiful sea views with sea stacks. The water is so clear and blue/green! The trail itself was great with gravel and wood chip ground cover.
1h45 to Trinity where we did the Skerwink trail. It totally lives up to it's hype. It's supposed to take a little over an hour but we must have spent 2 hrs there. There were just so many whales to see! I saw one humpback breech and a couple trail flips. It was a beautiful hike even in the rain. The fog rolled in so we saw and heard the little lighthouse in action.
Another 36min and we were in Elliston - our destination for the night.
We had dinner at Nanny's root cellar kitchen and it was really great.
Then, we went to the puffin viewing site. It was amazing!!! There were puffins on the mainland walking right next to us. I could unzoom fast enough!
Definitely a dream come true!!!
