The flight was short and uneventful.
We grabbed some food near the airport and drove to Arenal. There were some great views of the countryside along the way and done cute cows and horses and lots of ferral dogs that tried to get hit along the way.
As we got closer and closer to Arenal, the landscape became more and more impressive, especially when started to see Arenal Volcano in the distance. As we got closer, it became more majestic and more and more enveloped in the clouds. The highlight however was getting to our hotel - Arenal Kioro Suites and Spa. The entrance was quite grand and lined with beautiful flowers. The hotel is perched against a beautiful panorama of the volcano and offered incredible views throughout with floor to ceiling windows, including in our suite. We caught beautiful views of the sun setting against the background of the volcano. We took a walk around the grounds and visited the hot springs (which were unfortunately only warm today).
