Our plan had been to take it easy today - less driving, less walking, just enjoy the cool land formations and animals of Skye. Well, that lasted the 10 minutes it took for us to make our first stop at the Old Man of Storr. It was listed in the book as a cool rock formation that few people have ever climbed (to the top). The guide book also stated that there was a 2 mile walk to the base. Well, I figured, 2 miles, that'll be a nice little stroll....
Instead we embarked on a 2 hour hike that included rain, hail, and snow. The views were amazing but the climb was certainly adventurous. My friend wanted to head back when the hail stayed but I persevered because I didn't want to go home without having completed the hike. (more pictures to follow.
