We were scheduled to do a 3 hour kayak tour of the glacier lagoon but due to 25mph winds in the area the tour was cancelled. I think it would have been very cool but when we arrived to the lagoons and felt the winds, it totally made sense
A few views on the way there:
Fjallsjökull - smaller of the 2 glacier lagoons on the south coast.
Diamond beach - "diamonds" = icebergs that passed from the glacier lagoon and washed back onto the black sand beach getting smaller and smaller with each wave until they are reclaimed by the ocean.

Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon - the much larger one. The icebergs all line up before the bridge as they placed breakers to prevent the large icebergs from crashing into the bridge and destroying the road so they just move about getting smaller until they can pass into the ocean.
